Developed in Mondial’s R&D laboratories, EcoSilvertip is a premium synthetic fibre that whips up a soft, rich lather with ease. Its flexible, elastic and velvety structure makes it user-friendly and exceptionally durable over time.

The Thor shaving brush features a cylindrical handle with tapered ends. A metal inlay on the handle base is engraved with “Superlative Brush” – proudly handmade in Italy.
The knot is crafted from Mondial’s EcoSilvertip synthetic fibre, 24.5mm in size. EcoSilvertip is flexible and soft, with a velvety feel at the tips, enabling you to create a dense, creamy shaving foam effortlessly.

Native to tropical climates, wenge is a strong, dense wood with a rich chocolate colour and distinctive grain that demands careful selection and craftsmanship.

Mondial 1908 — Art Made in Italy
Founded in Florence in 1908 by master brush-maker Attilio Bagnoli, Mondial began in a small workshop in the Galluzzo district, where the freshly boiled bristles were assembled by hand, one by one. In more than a century of history, that artisanal gesture has never been lost: even today, every Mondial shaving brush is finished by hand, following a ritual handed down through five generations.

In the 1930s the factory moved inside the city walls, the workforce grew, and the family expanded production for Europe’s finest barbers. After the Second World War, Attilio’s children and grandchildren introduced safety razors, olive-wood bowls and travel sets, carrying the Mondial name in the suitcases of Italian gentlemen. The turning point came in 2000, when the fourth generation took over the brand and launched the Mondial 1908 collection, transforming the company from subcontractor to luxury maison specialising in traditional shaving, grooming and perfumery.

Innovation and tradition remain in constant dialogue: the multi-award-winning “Sphaera” set reinterprets Florentine classicism with minimalist lines, while Hi-Brush synthetic fibres replicate badger softness while respecting animal welfare. In 2018 the brand opened the “Gentlemen’s Barber” concept store just steps from the Ponte Vecchio—a salon-lounge where clients enjoy bespoke shaves and men’s skincare rituals. Every cream, soap and aftershave is enriched with fragrances inspired by Tuscan gardens and with natural ingredients from sustainable supply chains, reflecting the brand’s commitment to responsible luxury.

Today, on its 115th anniversary, Mondial exports to more than sixty countries yet continues to produce in Florence, selecting seasoned woods, precious metals and fine resins with the same meticulousness shown in 1908. With every brushstroke, the artisan’s hand distils a century of Italian savoir-faire, turning the daily shave into an experience of pure sensory pleasure and timeless style.
