Mondial 1908 – Art Made in Italy
Founded in Florence in 1908 by master brush-maker Attilio Bagnoli, Mondial began in a small workshop in the Galluzzo district, where freshly boiled bristles were assembled by hand one by one. More than a century later, that artisanal gesture lives on: every Mondial shaving brush is still hand-finished today, following a ritual handed down through five generations.

In the 1930s the factory moved inside the city walls, the workforce grew, and the family expanded production for Europe’s finest barbers. After World War II, Attilio’s children and grandchildren introduced safety razors, olive-wood bowls, and travel sets, placing the Mondial name in the suitcases of Italian gentlemen. The turning point came in 2000, when the fourth generation took over the brand and launched the Mondial 1908 collection, transforming the company from a contract supplier into a luxury maison specializing in traditional shaving, grooming, and perfumery.

Innovation and tradition constantly converse: the award-winning “Sphaera” set reinterprets Florentine classicism with minimalist lines, while Hi-Brush synthetic fibers reproduce the softness of badger hair while respecting animals. In 2018 the brand opened the “Gentlemen’s Barber” concept store a stone’s throw from the Ponte Vecchio—a barber-lounge where customers can experience bespoke shaves and men’s skincare rituals.
