The irregularly sized bout of Coticule Selected (estimated surface 33-39cm2) allows a suspension of slurry to be obtained by rubbing it onto the finishing stone, thus lowering the original grit of the stone and accelerating the finishing process.
\nFor the more experienced, a bout of this size can be used as a “mini stone” for finishing. If you want to use the bout as a finishing stone, we suggest to launder the part to be used (yellow ground).
\nHow to use it: After wetting the stone and the bout, rub the bout on the stone until you get a slurry, pass the razor on the stone with “out” movements bringing the slurry back and forth in the direction of the razor. When the slurry is “absorbed\/finished” rinse the razor and stone with water, then finish the finishing part on stone under running water.
